Solid Isekai with unique enough premise - ie healing magic can be exploited to increase recovery after training, and thusly massively increase the user's physical abilities to the point of monstrous strength. This is used well for both battle scenes and comedic effect.
While not a serious read, there's a ton of stuff to like. Each chapter is packed and the pacing is excellent. It doesn't meander like most other mangas, as evidenced by how the anime adapted it (1 ep ~= 1 ch). The characters are mostly cliché and one dimensional in many ways. It's a typical shounen isekai trash slop; but it's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it's probably 10 or more volumes away from being completed. Go in with limited expectations. The fun, for me, is mostly in seeing the constant, consistent progression of the main character.
This manga tries to be different from, but unfortunately it fails (at least as far as I read because I dropped it).
What left me most discouraged is this protagonist belittling himself, this is quite irritating.
I don't think this is a bad manga, but reading it today is like going from an advanced stage to an initial one, after having already read very good healer and medicine comics, this one becomes discouraging.
You have a mix of tastes in this one, however what really can tire is the pace.
A mensal series with this type of slow pace is really hard to keep reading, even if you like isekai.
Waiting for end to read all in one go, time to look for another one for time being.
Good luck!
This series actually got a really good potential to become big, but unfortunately, the author made lots of questionable decisions on the story by shoving lots of cliche tropes, which resulted in the series becomes mediocre.
Firstly, the MC is your usual "zero to hero" kind of character, where he first shown as this noobish character, but later on he suddenly becomes one of the strongest character in the series. And it doesn't helped that he's also has the "guy with ultra-rare talent" trope, which basically a cheat ability.
Meanwhile, lots, and I mean LOTS of female characters in this series were depicted as ridiculously strong, and they're also the "dominatrix"-type characters, where they ALWAYS looking down males, and enjoy torture/bully them.
And to make matters worse, most of the male characters were the complete opposite, where they're being depicted as weak, pushovers, and lame-ass characters that can't even fight back against the females, which is absolutely ridiculous.
Lastly, the story is always going circles and doesn't progress at all with lots of meaningless side-story/fillers being told, which could even made Naruto or One Piece animes proud.
I just really can't recommend this series, unless you're enjoying a title that does slow-burn to its readers with very slow pacing, bad characterizations, and also filled with your usual isekai tropes...
Sure, the overarching plot moves slowly in comparison to a lot of other manga, but it's worth slowing down for. The characters are unique and interesting, the art looks great, the world is a little game-y but otherwise thought through pretty well, the plot is consistent, world building is excellent, and the mini story arcs are great.
It's far from a generic Isekai, even if it shares some of the tropes. Tropes aren't bad if used well, and I think they've been well utilized in this manga.
Edit: I'm starting to wonder if the artist will die of old age before this finishes.
But I find the way he got trained by his captain Rose to be really funny lol.
A cliche isekai with an interesting twist, that just flops. Characters are standard tropes, cringe moments happen often, and the "healing yourself as you take damage" is just dumb. The side characters outshine the boring MC simply due to being slightly more interesting than he is. The MC constantly spews the cliche shounen lines you see in the typical manga targeted towards 10-year-olds. I quit reading once I got tired of MC constantly being praised for not being able to think for himself and only doing what he is told to do as if that is a good quality in a person; I'm sure it is for your typical grass-fed corporate drone.
