Unnecessary arcs is ridiculous, this story doesn't have filler and every arc is phenomenal in it's own way. You're just bitter that he died without finishing, which fair enough? But don't blame the dude who.. You know.. fucking died to something so out of left field as his fucking heart exploding.
Also romance between them is irrelevant, it was hinted way back how orihime loved ichigo and how they'd end up together and even if I leave that aside why is that even needed lol
