Yeah, as if mocking what I said about the last chapter, this one breaks one of the redeeming qualities of Guiscard, still don't blame him tough.
If he was the king from the beginning I could see him keeping his cool, maybe even if he at least had more time to consolidate his power, but his rise was plagued by circumstance and still is threatened by the same.
He just lost one of his most trusted and good generals, to suddenly be visited by a strange sorcerer that says everything they accomplished was their doing, to being attacked by surprise and escaping by a hair strand.
I could even say he has been losing respect for his countryman for quite some time, Bodin's sabotages and his soldier's excessive cruelty and all, this is just the culmination of all that.
This startec out good but is getting worse every chapter.Honestly, the sex and stuff are so stupid and unnecessary, just there for the sake of fanservice to attract horny teens. The author can easily think of something else for training method but sex, like seriously? It's like that elf's curse on mushoku tensei, any other curse will do but all the author can think of is being horny.
They take all of that out in the anime, so I'm glad to see it here, even if it's excessive. The carrot and stick approach doesn't work without the stick. Kids will slack off if he's super nice guy from the start. Once they realize he's not gonna do anything, it'll be after they're used to pulling their own weight.
i remember when i was a kid, i saw tokyo ghoul s1 of the anime and thought it was pretty great but never touched the manga. Now im here, after finishing the entire series and i gotta say, this is fuckin amazing. 10/10 i loved everything about this. From the story, the fights and the tragedies.
Its an amazing manga that does not disappoint (in my opinion) and i would definitely reccomend a series like this.
The ending was an absolute crazy and well put together, it contained various tropes but it stuck pretty strongly.
