Zettai Kareshi, or Absolute Boyfriend, ranks among my top five manga reads. The storyline is innovative and leaves readers pondering the boundaries of love and how far one can push them. Given Night's human-like demeanor and emotional depth, it's easy to forget he's an android. This adds a significant layer to the narrative, drawing readers in deeply. The series is incredibly sweet, and I adore every character. Each one complements the others perfectly. While I wish Gaku Namikiri appeared more frequently in the manga, his presence was sufficient for the plot's needs. Night's character was flawless. It was effortless to envision someone in his position behaving so childishly yet remaining loving and romantic.
If you're on the hunt for a romantic tale, I highly recommend "Absolute Boyfriend" (Zettai Kareshi). This story is brimming with intense emotions that will have your heart racing in no time. Trust me, it's fantastic.
The beginning is endearingly sweet, and as the narrative unfolds, revealing more about the characters and their intertwining relationships, the drama intensifies. You'll find yourself hooked, eagerly turning pages to uncover what happens next. It's nearly impossible not to develop feelings for the characters or become emotionally invested in the plot. Just a heads-up: make sure you have some tissues handy when you reach the final volume. The emotional journey comes to a peak that might leave you reaching for comfort.
First easy question: Have you ever read Shoujo manga? If the answer is yes, then it was probably better than Absolute Boyfriend. Why? Because apart from creating a robo-boyfriend, there isn't one interesting and creative idea.
Our heroine is, of course, beautiful, but nobody notices it until she has her robo-guy. Then all those not-brave-enough or she-is-so-beautiful-why-didn't-I-notice-it-earlier types try to... well, I'm pretty sure you can imagine the entire story until the happy ending, including tons of bishoujo trying to destroy this fabulous couple.
You don't agree with me? Well, try reading something like: Skip Beat, Angel Sanctuary, Paradise Kiss, Chobits (haven't read it, but it's hard to make something worse than A.B.) – there's a robo-girl in it. If after that you still think that A.B. is good, then you can be called a fan; until you do that, you are only a casual reader who doesn't know what is really good and was amazed by your first manga.
I found this to be an incredibly cute story with amazing characters, though some character profiles weren't very original. Despite that, it was a real page-turner and had the power to make girls flash a slight smile as they read it.
Absolute Boyfriend makes absolutely no sense. The girl is incredibly stupid, and the side character is a total retard. I don't even want to comment on the main hero or the object.
With all that said, it was still enjoyable because the mangaka doesn’t take things too seriously. It was basic, run-of-the-mill stuff, but... Don’t read it; there are much better manga out there. This one gets a solid 5 out of ten.
My story - I like this girl, and she likes me back. All I have to do is say, "Let's date; we both like each other," but I wasted my time reading about some stupid chick, the worst girl I know. It took two days.
Tom, I'm going to ask her out. I hope she says yes.
Peace... and yes, don't read this if you want to waste your time. But if you must, then choose this one. It’s the best thing you can waste your time on.

However, the ending was completely unsatisfying.
