I'm pretty fed up of all these mediaval-fantasy-isekai manga setup where japanese authors constantly try to apeal to their own audiance by adding things which are exclusives to 21th century japan, and incoherent in the setup they're trying to build. The bowing, the "oni-san" thing, or the MC overfocus on bringing "new food this country doesn't know" (you guessed it : Miso soup, rice, soy sauce..) as if japan was the only culture known for it's food + disregarding the agricultural potential of the territory in the first place...
With the vast knowledge of the MC + the attempt to create a coherent world based on a "western-medieval-fantasy" background, i find this kind of ethnocentrism rather inconsistent and slightly annoying...
Is the rest the same ? ^^
Thanks in advance, and have a good read !
If anyone is looking for something similar I recommend Sousou no Frieren. The main characters deal with the same problem of not aging and they are adventuring the world while making their own goals along the way.
