Usagi Drop

When bachelor Daikichi Kawachi goes to his grandfather's funeral, he is startled to see a mysterious young girl by herself in the garden. To his surprise, this shy and reserved girl named Rin Kaga is believed to be his late grandfather's illegitimate child. Given the scandalous circumstances surrounding the little girl, no one in the family wishes to take her in after her father's death. Angered by the cold treatment of an innocent child, Daikichi declares that he will care for Rin himself, despite being young, single, and inexperienced as a parent. "Usagi Drop" follows the journey of Daikichi and Rin as they seek happiness and meaning in their unexpected meeting. "Usagi Drop" was published in English as "Bunny Drop" by Yen Press from March 23, 2010, to April 22, 2014. Yen Press's translation of the series was nominated for the 2011 Eisner Award in the Best U.S. Edition of International Material-Asia category. It was also released in Brazilian Portuguese by NewPOP Editora from August 2014 to May 10, 2017.
