Y'know I think that's why Asa's so good as a final boss.
The man hasn't done a goddamn thing besides show up and talk. Sure, it's impressive how he's showed up where he has, but that's all.
And yet he's still an completely believable big bad by merit of being able to manipulate some of the strongest around through perfect choices of words and knowing what makes a person tick in all of the worst ways.
Compared to a lot of Jump final villains, he's subtle.

I had maybe thought it was the lack of women? I mean, most of the girls back at the dungeon aren't really there yet, if that makes any sense, and to top it off, I think the influx of variety like cat girls and elves and such might have peaked his interest more. In the end though, it's still a little too much.
