The lack of impact is because it doesnt have the *dust appears because of hit* or any of the sparkly effects usually used to emphasize a hit. There is also a lack of emotion and tension when fighting, resulting in a robotic feel. When this eventually gets an anime adaptation by a good studio, these problems should be fixed and it would be realistic and satisfying. Though they might just turn it into trash high-speed, high-impact for no good reason fights, but hopefully they stay on the realistic style of the manga and dramatisize it a little.
