Seriously, I don't get the "Human are bastards" story trope. 99% of stories that use it make it act like the other races were complete angels and we just shattered the walls of heaven and started dragging them down. I want to see a story where the 'victim' race is actually just as bad as they're made out to be and have been that way centuries before humans ever interacted with them, where humans became super messed up out of a necessity to survive against them. Like, "Yeah these guys suck but you guys caused it and suck just as much" is what I want. Depth! I WANT DEPTH!!! Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
