It has a lot of "edgy trying to look cool" moments but nothing offensive about it. It does take itself seriously often and that's probably my biggest complain.
-Spoilers-
Some of the scenes are supposed to be heavy or emotional but it's so edgy you can't think anything but man that's edgy, they are also accompanied by tons of scenes with "developments" happening but they also happen to be very sudden it feels like whiplash of emotions these kind of scenes are infamously known as forced drama. And I hate that shit.
I also dislike the very often used trope of characters not wanting to invite themselves into the plot but one way or other they straight up end up doing it. I can understand if they drag them into the conflict but what is this shit about not wanting anything with this war and some random dude asks you to help and that made you change your mind despite people trying to do it for years?
That's some lazy shit.

The manga is all well and good, but damn, the anime is going places. Final episode this coming Friday, people!

Surprisingly great. Zabine's whole speech really turned this manga around for me.
