The biggest takeaway from the series is not that Lloyd is an opop broken tensei bullshit MC, but how in his pursuit of magic knowledge he strengthens those around him, both allies and enemies.

Korea is so bad at manga it's not even funny.

The characters may seem quite similar, but their goals and motivations are very, very, very different. The characters I assuming you are referring to are the MCs being similar and the platinum monarch and makina right? Genji was an idiot who didn’t know what he wanted, and so motivates himself on immediate and shallow objectives, while being slowly given lots of things and attachments so that they can be taken away and he is manipulated. The mc here has a goal to survive and clear the tower, and he doesn’t really care if it’s a gamble on humanity or the people he serves are evil/inhuman to achieve it. Though first and foremost he wants to live. The themes and characters aren’t close or similar enough to be called ripoffs at all.

The similarities are that both MCs are idiots who are poor and get manipulated to some extent (though in completely different ways and at different levels)
