The narrative revolves around a group of children who find themselves stranded on a spaceship drifting between Earth and Mars. During what was supposed to be a routine dive procedure, their space station plunged into a "plasma field" known as the Geduld. This incident resulted in the death of all adult instructors, leaving the young trainees to fend for themselves aboard a ship named Ryvius. Initially, everything seems manageable until power dynamics shift, leading to one crew member's corrupting desire for control, culminating in a struggle for dominance.
