Cool-headed and very smart, 17-year-old Heigar is studying general information technology to prepare for entry into the National Defense Academy. His father serves as a civil officer in the Defense Forces. As the second-ranked student in the Zwei, just behind Juli, Heigar functions as an assistant and lieutenant to the ship's leader and captain, regardless of who holds the position (loyalty to the office, not the individual). His distant demeanor and constant poker face lead others to believe he lacks emotion. Cold, calculating, and ambitious, Heigar often effortlessly convinces others to accept his decisions or grant him authority.
His vision of a utopian society aboard the Ryvius resulted in increasingly stringent control measures. This went so far that he was prepared to report fellow Zwei cadets as supposed 'threats' to the ship's order and control.
