From what I heard, this chapter was only so long as it is to fill in the remaining page count for the volume it later become a part of. Other people have said that manga chapters in this new magazine Black Clover shifted over to have about 40-60 pages for each issue. Black Clover volumes normally have 180-200 pages each, and if they want to keep that format, I could see future chapters being 40-50 pages long, with future volumes being 4-5 chapters each.
