Ten volumes mostly consist of standalone chapters, each centered around ten male/male couples somehow linked to Blue Boy, a host club. Volume four begins with a "semi/uke" chart; those who dislike relationships with strictly defined roles might want to avoid this series. However, if you enjoy such dynamics or are indifferent to them, the series offers an entertaining read. The payoff in the final few volumes is immense when certain earlier events align wonderfully, beautifully, and perfectly.
Also he was trying to keep the friendship? Yet all he did was be cruel. He chose one of the worst ways to handle it.
I'm trying not to sound like a pretentious fuck, but this manga wasn't afraid to handle some dark themes and terrible situations through the eyes of a mostly children cast without being edgy. It is a lot more realistic take on the common trope of "group of kids pilot mech to save the world" trope, with real consequences and not everything is magically saved at the end of the day.
Just let it cook for the first volume.
