I've watched FMP Fumofu and it was a blast, but I was disappointed with the short duration of the anime. So when I heard about a manga that offered more of the quirky and fun-filled stories featuring socially challenged Sousuke, I jumped right in. It has met all my expectations.
Get ready for more of Sousuke's misunderstandings of basic life concepts and Chidori's explosive reactions. The manga isn't serious and doesn't have any real storyline about Mithril or any actual fighting, but it focuses on the fun side of Sousuke's school life.
The character design is very cute, which fits the manga's theme perfectly. Each chapter is a new short story showcasing how Sousuke... overdoes things. Every story is unexpected, and you can never guess what will happen next, which I found to be a huge enjoyment. If you're a big fan of Fumofu, this is definitely one to read.
Consider it an extension of FMP Fumofu. It's a short manga where, if you want a good hard laugh, Overload is the manga to read. It doesn't overdo it or feel repetitive (probably due to the shortness of the series...) and it left me with a nice warm fuzzy feeling :)
This manga was absolutely hilarious. I stumbled upon it right after finishing Fumoffu!, which had been thrilling, during the Christmas season.
After reading the first chapter, I became completely obsessed. I practically forced my family to rush me back to the mall a week later to buy the next two volumes, and then two more.
The series doesn't really have a central point, but that's what makes it so enjoyable. It's silly and random, yet there's something sweet about its overall vibe.
The one issue I had with it was the ending. It could have gone on a bit longer, and it felt somewhat rushed, though it was still a sweet conclusion.
This manga is perfect for comedy lovers and those who don't mind artwork that’s more childlike compared to the story.
It's fantastic, lovable, and laugh-out-loud funny... Truly a wonderful series.
