The whole mission then just becomes a detail for the later missions that says for failure "current missions will be canceled", which just makes that mission a guarantee pass and makes all the other missions that don't have that line feel like he might fail the future missions. this kinda gives the concept of him never failing the "missions that matter" by taking away our fear of him failing more often and letting us concentrate it in the moments that matter. Or I am reading to much into this.
An excellent adaptation of the novel. The classic characters come to life in this manga, wonderfully drawn and written in detail. For those who have only experienced the musical, you’re in for a treat as the mangaka crams as many bits of the novel into this work. About the only bits the author laments he had to cut is the Patron-Minette lackeys lol. Relive, or experience for the first time the greatest moments of Les Miserable with beautiful art. I can’t say enough how much I love the original work, and this is a phenomenal adaptation. Best part of the author’s comment is he was surprised how less comical Thenadier was compared to the musical when he first read the novel lol.
To fans of the novel and other derivative works of it, and for first time readers, I highly recommended Les Miserables the manga.
