Cardcaptor Sakura
From the moment Yukito is introduced, it becomes evident that Sakura harbors a significant crush on him. She frequently expresses amazement at how he can be friends with her "barbaric brother." Everyone, including Yukito, believes his meeting with Toya in junior high school three years ago was purely coincidental.
However, Yukito's nature as the false form of Yue means much of what he thought he knew about himself is untrue. He lives in an elaborate house with his grandparents (the house is real, but the grandparents are fictional). In fact, it is unclear if Yukito existed before his meeting with Toya and introduction to Sakura.
Yukito plays a peripheral role in many of Sakura's adventures as the Cardcaptor, primarily due to Sakura's crush on him and his close connection to the Kinomoto family. During this time, Yukito also becomes the object of another juvenile crush; this one from Syaoran Li. However, it is later revealed that Syaoran was attracted to the magical energies of the moon residing within Yukito, as Syaoran draws his magic from the moon.
It isn't until the last Clow Card is collected that Yukito's true form, Yue, emerges to challenge Sakura's right to the cards. Afterward, the personalities of Yukito and Yue coexist, with Yukito unaware of Yue's presence.
The strain on Yue's energies becomes so severe that even Yukito's substantial food consumption can no longer sustain it. Yukito begins to fall ill, becoming drowsy, falling asleep at any opportunity, and eventually starting to fade away. The only thing that can save him is a massive infusion of magical energy, which Yue finally receives from Toya (whose earlier attempts to warn Yukito were constantly interrupted by Nakuru Akizuki, also known as Eriol Hiiragizawa’s Moon Guardian, Ruby Moon).
Shortly after, Yukito listens to and gently declines Sakura's confession. He has always been aware of Sakura's feelings but tells her they are more platonic (as Yukito resembles Sakura's father) than romantic. Sakura quickly realizes that "the one Yukito likes best" is actually Toya. Earlier that day, Yukito had expressed alarm to Toya about suddenly learning about the existence of the Yue identity and the falsehood of most of his memories. However, Toya reassures him that their shared moments are what truly matter. After Yukito rejects Sakura, they seem to develop a brother-sister type of relationship.
In the manga, Yukito is last seen in the Kinomoto kitchen with Toya, helping to prepare breakfast. A similar scene appears in the anime series, where they are preparing lunch. This implies that Toya fully understands Yukito's feelings for him and reciprocates them.
