It was believed that the Will of the Abyss desired for Oz and Alice to return to the Abyss. The Will of the Abyss and Alice are somehow interconnected. She also possesses powers such as destroying Chains, transitioning between the Abyss and the outside world, and altering the past.

It is later revealed that Alice and the Will of the Abyss are twins.
