Graf Wilhelm Josef Von Herrman is a high-level demon masquerading as a descendant of German counts. He was one of the demons that attacked Negi's village, turning almost everyone there to stone. During the assault, he was sealed away and later released to assess the threat posed by Negi and Asuna, aiming to temporarily incapacitate Negi from battle. Ultimately, he was defeated by Negi and Kotaro, though Negi chose to spare his life. He has connections to Fate Averruncus and his group.
In his human guise, he appears as an elderly gentleman dressed in a suit and hat. He is a formidable physical fighter with a boxing-inspired style, capable of using magic without incantations. However, his most dangerous ability is his petrification spell, which he used to permanently turn the inhabitants of Negi's hometown to stone. This petrification seemed irreversible until it was revealed in the final volume that Konoka could develop her powers sufficiently to restore the petrified citizens.
