As one of the main characters in the series, Asuna is known for her short temper and impulsive actions. However, she also shows maturity, especially when it comes to doing the right thing. Initially, she dislikes Negi but eventually becomes like a big sister to him, resembling his cousin Nekane. Her background remains somewhat mysterious due to her orphaned past. Over time, clues about her past emerge as she learns more about Negi. One of the few students with a job outside school, Asuna isn't academically bright but demonstrates strong fighting skills and compassion towards those important to her.
Her real name is Asuna Vesperina Theotanasia Entheofushia, making her the cousin of Arika Anarchia Entheofushia and thus Negi's aunt. Her magic cancellation abilities were used to topple the nation of Ostia, for which Arika took the blame. Though officially listed as born in 1988, she is implied to be much older.
