Woody is a Sylph whose job is to deliver packages and other goods to people in Neo-Venezia, which he poetically describes as delivering people's cherished emotions. He enjoys 'swimming' through the sky and prefers being called by his nickname because it feels more casual than his real name. In the manga, Woody tends to get lost easily due to his poor sense of direction and usually needs a map to navigate.
He and Akatsuki have been friends since childhood, often spending their free time playing outdoors. Occasionally, they were cared for by Al during these times.
