Captain, as he's known among his peers, is a mercenary contracted by the Extra Order Company, a private security firm hired by Kageyama from Asahi Heavy Industries. His mission was straightforward: eliminate the Lagoon Company and their hostage, Rock, primarily due to the sensitive computer disc Rock possessed at the time of his capture.
A seasoned veteran of the Liberian Civil War in the 1990s, Captain is a battle-hardened soldier with no moral qualms about executing his targets. He's also an adrenaline junkie, constantly seeking out formidable adversaries to challenge—this relentless pursuit of excitement ultimately led to his downfall.
The first confrontation with the Lagoon Company took place at the Yellow Flag Bar. Captain and his team initiated an assault from outside, resulting in the deaths of most patrons. However, they didn't anticipate the fierce counterattack from Revy, Dutch, and a furious Bao, whose bar was being riddled with bullets. The ensuing firefight left sixteen mercenaries dead and eight wounded. The manner in which the EO mercenaries were defeated impressed Captain, who eagerly looked forward to another chance to face them.
Later, while serving as the gunner aboard a modified Soviet-era Mil Mi-24 'Hind' helicopter gunship, Captain chased the Black Lagoon into a river that ended in a dead-end, waiting for their return to deliver the final blow. What he hadn't anticipated was Rock's risky plan to save his captors. In the face-off against the gunship, the Black Lagoon used the sunken remains of an old warship as a ramp, launching themselves airborne—with the gunship directly ahead. Dutch, piloting the PT boat, then fired two torpedoes at the gunship—the fatal one striking Captain squarely in the face before bringing the gunship crashing down!
