Field Marshal Tenpou Gensou is Cho Hakkai's previous incarnation. The Field Marshal of Heaven's Western Army, he is a reading enthusiast, always engrossed in books. He also has a fondness for items from the lower world, collecting seemingly meaningless objects in his office which he proudly calls his collection. His personality is laid-back and unhurried, embodying a "go with the flow" attitude. He pays little attention to his appearance, often seen in a worn-out white coat and with dandruff in his hair, despite having a handsome face. Known for being eccentric, his demeanor on the battlefield changes dramatically; he becomes calm and insightful, earning recognition from his superior, the Dragon King, as an exceptional military leader. Initially inclined to shoulder responsibilities alone, gaining a good comrade in Kenren changed his solitary ways. He began to rely on Kenren, placing him at the forefront of his unit, and took on a more supportive role. However, he has a hidden side where he unexpectedly keeps intense items to himself and holds onto things tenaciously, regardless of the opponent. Tenpou has semi-long black hair, left to grow out naturally, and wears thick glasses. His appearance combines gentleness and harshness, bearing a resemblance to Hakkai. His preferred cigarette brand is Arc Royal, and he cherishes an earthenware frog ashtray from the lower world, designed by Minekura's assistant Suzuki Jirou-chan, with hopes of turning it into merchandise. He is consistently shown using a Katana in various sealing missions.
