Talbot is an elderly individual who has been serving the Vongola for an indeterminately long time, with rumors suggesting he has been with them since the era of Vongola Primo. This claim is validated in the Vongola Primo Drama CD Extra, where Giotto reveals during a dinner that he commissioned Talbot to craft the Golden Pocket Watches as symbols of their friendship.

Following the Vongola's defeat by the Simon family, Talbot emerges and offers to repair the Rings. He warns that this process carries the risk of completely destroying the rings, but Tsuna agrees to proceed. After some work, Talbot returns the rings in a seemingly lifeless state. When morale is low, he challenges their resolve and instructs them to ignite their flames, cautioning that a weak attempt could permanently destroy the souls within the rings. Tsuna, Gokudera, Hibari, and Ryohei manage to awaken the new form of the Vongola Rings, known as the Vongola Gear.

It is also noted that Talbot created new Varia Rings, with the payment being Mammon's entire fortune.
