Takane D. Goodman is a high school student and a secret mage with an affinity for shadow magic. She can summon and control shadow warriors, as well as create intricate shadow armor that mimics clothing. When her magic is depleted, her armor-clothes vanish, leaving her naked, which often leads to traumatic experiences, especially when it happens in front of others. It appears she has a crush on Negi, sparked after he defeated her in the Mahora Martial Arts Tournament. This was confirmed at the end of the manga when she challenged him to another fight, demanding that he must go out with her if she wins. After losing to Negi without being stripped, she questions him about why he didn't remove her clothes, wondering if it was out of pity or because she was no longer attractive to him. She then chases him, yelling whether he intends to undress her or take her out before their "marriage." In the final chapter, she and Mei are seen working with Akashi Yuna as agents of Megalo-Mesembria.
