Sync is a major antagonist, serving as Chief of Staff and tactical leader among the Six God-Generals. Sync stands out as the only God-General who refrains from using weapons in combat. Instead, he wields martial-style artes with his fists and feet, complemented by high-level fonic artes centered on the Wind element. Sync is the fifth replica of Fon Master Ion. He was created before the current Ion. Initially, seven replicas were made with the original Ion's consent, who was dying from an unknown disease, and with Van's authorization. However, only three replicas—Sync, Florian, and the one referred to as "Ion"—survived. The seventh replica named "Ion" had capabilities most closely resembling the original Fon Master Ion. Sync failed to obtain the power of the seventh fonon, leading him to join Van in an effort to erase his existence due to being despised for his creation. His mask was destroyed by Guy Cecil and Luke Fon Fabre. The remaining replicas were sent to Mt. Zaleho to be cast into the magma, but Sync managed to escape, showcasing his strategic brilliance by devising an escape plan immediately after his creation. After escaping, he joined Van's plot to overthrow the Score, training intensely to achieve the rank of God-General. Despite this, Sync later expresses hatred towards Van, resenting that he continues to live only at Van's command, even after Van revived him a second time inside the planet's core using Lorelei's trapped power. Sync detests his existence as "garbage," feeling he has no purpose and is merely an empty vessel for Van's will. He blames the Score for forcing him into this "pathetic life." Sync uses his resemblance to Ion to unsettle the party, especially Anise, who felt responsible for Ion's demise, and can even mimic Ion's voice. He meets his end on Eldrant after a final battle with Luke and his companions. Anise recoils in pity upon seeing a duplicate of Ion twisted and cruel.
