Suzuno is the daughter of Takao, to whom Einosuke entrusted the book.
Suzuno becomes the priestess of Byakko and falls in love with the Celestial Warrior Tatara. However, when Suzuno asks the gods to fulfill her desire to be with him, they respond that it is a wish they cannot grant. Thus, Suzuno returns to the real world, where she lives out her life.
When Miaka and Yui enter the book, Suzuno's grandson Toki arranges for her to meet Keisuke. Shortly after, Suzuno and Tatara die at the same moment, and their spirits are finally reunited.
