History: Shunran is one of four siblings striving to resurrect the leader of the Cat Family. Her abilities include casting illusions, and her three other siblings are named Shuuran, Karan, and Touran. Shunran seeks vengeance for the actions taken by the sons of the dog general against the panther king. She appears with other panthers around the time when InuYasha was sealed to a tree.
Fifty years later, the panther tribe returns, targeting the priestess who possesses the jewel shards, Kagome. While the other three panthers capture her, Touran challenges Sesshomaru to a battle at a castle overtaken by the panther tribe, which they've surrounded with a barrier. As the moon passes over their master's corpse, she gathers villagers, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and the sacred jewel shards in front of their master. The sons of the dog general arrive, and as the panther king demands souls, he kills Shuran and Karan.
After the panther king is killed once more, the other panther divas are brought back to life by Sesshomaru's sword, and the panther tribe returns to their original home.
