He has feelings for Mizuki, but he is unaware that she is actually a girl. Some of his classmates think he is gay because of this. Nakatsu seems to have accepted this perception. As Umeda puts it, "...he's only attracted to her feminine side," which means that Nakatsu reacts like any typical teenage boy would when around a girl, though he appears to be more enthusiastic than his classmates, who don't seem to be affected by Mizuki—or they might just be better at hiding their feelings. He often feels jealous of Sano due to his close relationship with Mizuki. Nakatsu entered the school on a soccer scholarship and excels at the sport. Originally from Osaka city (which differs from the school's name and uses different kanji), he speaks with a thick Kansai accent and frequently uses the Kansai dialect. His hair is bleached blonde.
