Shigeo is one half of the first official couple in Class 2-C. It seems he had never kissed a girl before his girlfriend, Madoka. Initially part of the five runners for the men's relay team of Class 2-C, he fell over Napoleon during the 100m dash. Shigeo trusts in the goodness of others, although not everyone shares his level of trust. He doesn't seem to mind humbling himself.
His current girlfriend is Madoka. Shigeo appears insecure in his relationship with her, often questioning some of her actions. For instance, during the school cultural festival, Madoka gave her number to one of her customers, which troubled him. During the survival test, he was unwilling to shoot Madoka, who was on the opposing team, showing his commitment to their relationship. Unfortunately, Madoka was more interested in participating in the Tea House event and didn't hesitate to shoot him.
