Shaiapouf is a butterfly-humanoid Chimera Ant and one of the Chimera Ant King's Royal Guards. He considers himself the most composed and rational among the three Royal Guards, often emphasizing the importance of logic and reasoning over emotions. However, his deep loyalty to the Chimera Ant King clouds his judgment. Shaiapouf holds an unyielding ideal that leaves no room for compromise, and he expects the same impossible standard from the King. When it seems the King is straying from this ideal, Pouf becomes fanatically devoted, leading him to take treacherous actions.
Pouf harbors intense hatred towards Komugi. He believes she hinders the King from achieving his rightful place as the pinnacle of evolution and world domination. A master of psychological manipulation and deceit, Pouf is willing to lie, betray, and kill to maintain the King's perceived image. In times of crisis involving the Chimera Ant King, he abandons his assigned duties and acts purely on emotional impulse. Despite his claims of rationality, Shaiapouf is actually the most irrational of the three Royal Guards, driven mad by his obsessive love and devotion to the King.
