He appears several years older than the other children and is very protective of them. When first introduced, Senri is seen guarding a town that a group is trying to take over because it grows the "gold" plant—a plant that signifies the presence of gold in the soil. Senri originally belongs to the Kim-un-Kur, a nomadic people who are mostly +Anima and wear similar beads in their hair. In his childhood, Senri was out hunting with his father when they were attacked by the mad bear Amurui. Although Senri's father managed to kill Amurui, he became the next Amurui himself. Senri had no choice but to kill his father, thereby inheriting both his father's and Amurui's +Anima powers. Due to the head injury sustained during this event, Senri cannot control the Mad Bear form without keeping it sealed with an eyepatch to protect his sense of self.
