Nana has a fondness for ribbons and feminine clothing. She was raised in a poor household with a kind but frail mother and an alcoholic, abusive father. One night, when her father attacked her mother, Nana accidentally stabbed his hand with scissors. Enraged, he chased her into the dark forest with an ax, where she transformed into a bat +Anima. This incident left her with a lasting fear of forests at night.
Initially, Nana joined an underground group of orphaned girls in a town called Octopus. However, feeling unwelcome, she eventually left. After an unfortunate incident involving Husky's pearls, Delly, one of the girls, encouraged her to join Husky, Cooro, and Senri, believing it would be good for her.
During her time with Husky, Cooro, and Senri, Nana has grown less fearful and more assertive. Despite Husky's initial dislike of her, she has developed a crush on him and cherishes the necklace he made for her.
