She comes from a wealthy family and always strives to smile and assist others. Sayuri uses more formal Japanese honorifics when addressing Yuichi, even as they become close friends. She cares deeply about Mai, evident from their constant companionship and her concern whenever Mai faces trouble. Sayuri never forgets Mai's birthday. Initially unaware of the demons, some begin targeting her towards the end of Mai's story, yet she remains steadfast by Mai's side. Sayuri, like Ayu and Makoto, has a charming quirk; she laughs with a distinct "Aha ha." She always refers to herself in the third person due to an event in her past. In episode 14, Sayuri reveals she had a younger brother, Kazuya. Raised by her father to maintain good manners, when Kazuya was born, Sayuri adopted a strict approach to raising him, aiming for his strength. However, she truly wished to play with him, fulfill his desires, and see him smile. Kazuya then fell ill suddenly. As his condition worsened, Sayuri went out to buy water pistols and snacks for him, playing together. This became their "first and last memory of playing together." After Kazuya's death, Sayuri began referring to herself in the third person, viewing herself only objectively.
