Mink's father was once among the greatest knights in the kingdom. His nickname stems from his incredible speed, making him appear as red lightning during combat. Initially, the King tasked Rouce with slaying an imperial red dragon that had invaded the land. However, upon encountering Mana, the dragon, he instantly fell in love and married her. Rouce left his knightly duties behind, and now he and Mana reside in a tranquil valley where they raise their daughter, Mink. These days, Rouce and Mana frequently engage in domestic arguments due to Rouce's lecherous behavior. He disapproves of Mink's crush on Dick Saucer, largely out of pride as a legendary swordsman. Despite his excessive perversion and laziness, Rouce will leap into action to protect his wife and daughter if they are in immediate danger. His special attack leaves the letter R carved into his opponents. Though retired, he remains a formidable swordsman, having once single-handedly defeated a large group of monsters attacking Mana and Mink in the woods. When asked about it, he denies any involvement, but Mana remarks that he is quite the liar. He also lives up to his nickname, moving faster than even Saucer when rescuing Mana from a monster that had taken her hostage.
