Roberta is a maid who worked for four years at the Lovelace household in Colombia. Despite her subpar domestic skills, such as cleaning and cooking, she has formed a close bond with Garcia, the young heir of the Lovelace family. Previously known as Rosarita Cisneros, she was a former FARC guerrilla trained as an assassin in Cuba and an internationally sought-after criminal. She earned the title "Bloodhound of Florencia" due to her relentless pursuit of her goals.
In combat, Roberta is a formidable adversary, skilled in various martial arts, stealth techniques, and weaponry. Her arsenal includes a sniper rifle, a combat knife, a shotgun disguised as an umbrella, a machine gun hidden within a briefcase, a grenade launcher, spiked brass knuckles, a trench spike, and pistols. Her strength, speed, endurance, and instincts have been honed to near superhuman levels. For instance, Roberta once chased down Lagoon Company's getaway car by driving her knife into its rear, nearly pulling the muscular Dutch out from his vehicle, and accurately fired a large caliber sniper rifle from the hip with one arm.
Ironically, despite being one of the most powerful warrior-women in the Black Lagoon story, Roberta also displays humanity, warmth, kindness, remorse, and familial love towards her master and his son. She confessed to having murdered children, women, or anyone in the name of revolution during her time with FARC. Disillusioned by the realization that she was merely a tool for drug cartels collaborating with FARC, she left and joined the Lovelace clan as a maid. Although Garcia asked her not to engage in gunfights anymore, later events in the manga compelled her to return to battle, driven by a desire for revenge.
Roberta is heavily modeled after El Mariachi, popularized by Antonio Banderas, right down to the suitcase machine gun signature and her Latin American background.
