The younger of the twin Harada sisters, Risa initially captures Daisuke's affection, but she does not reciprocate his feelings. She finds him too ordinary and considers him more of a best friend due to his kindness and reliability. Risa is quite naive and begins to develop a crush on Dark after seeing him attempt to steal an artwork on the news, believing he is her destined partner.
Risa has a sisterly rivalry with Riku. Compared to her sister, she appears more innocent and clumsy, fitting the typical "girly-girl" stereotype. However, she shares the same stubbornness, tenacity, and kindness as Riku. Risa prefers fashion and relationships over physical activities. Her hair is much longer, and she has a "softer voice," making it difficult to distinguish between the two, as shown in episode 5 when they switch places to avoid punishment.
Risa obsessively pursues Dark, devising intricate schemes to get him to date her, some of which eventually succeed. She proves to be both clever and persistent. Eventually, Dark tells her they can no longer see each other. Near the end of the anime, subtle hints of a relationship between Risa and Satoshi emerge, such as when he covers her unconscious body with his jacket and leaves a white feather behind. In the manga, this connection is more evident, with small moments like Satoshi saving her from falling off a building and showing concern when Daisuke rescues her from drowning.
As the series progresses, Risa matures from a naive young girl into a more sophisticated young lady.
