Rin is the main heroine in the story. She is the younger sister of Kyousuke Natsume and the only female among the five original members of the Little Busters. Rin struggles with communication and is often perceived as inarticulate. This leads to her being antisocial, usually seen on her own. Despite this, she excels at baseball, particularly as an ace pitcher. Initially, her pitching was erratic, with throws going in unpredictable directions. However, during a standoff with Sasami, she demonstrates two extraordinary pitches: a powerful fastball and a unique changeup.

Rin has a deep love for cats and cares for several strays at school. It's common to see cats climbing onto her.

MAJOR SPOILER

Rin is sent abroad as an exchange student, but instead of strengthening her, it shatters her emotionally. Players who followed the Refrain route noticed that Rin's personality became fragmented, resembling that of a young child. Eventually, she and Riki reform the Little Busters, and Kyousuke reveals the hidden secret of their world to them.

After the fake world disappears, Rin and Riki save people from a bus crash. It is hinted that following the events of the visual novel, Rin and Riki plan to start dating in the future.
