kiryuu ren

A vampire from the Kiryuu lineage.

Ren is the offspring of Zero Kiryuu and Yuuki Kuran. Given that Ren's mother is a pureblood vampire and their father is an ex-human vampire, Ren holds the status of an Aristocrat vampire. Determined to become a Hunter, Ren aims to safeguard their family and cherished ones. Ren remains unfazed by any disdain directed towards them due to their father’s dual identity as both a hunter and a "common" vampire.

Ren possesses a composed demeanor and frequently speaks up when their elder sister, Ai, struggles with self-expression. Both Ren and Ai make an appearance at the conclusion of Chapter 93 to convey Yuuki's final message to Kaname upon his awakening from a prolonged sleep. Currently, they are jointly tending to Kaname in his human form, recounting memories and tales spanning the past millennium.

The series later discloses that Ren is female. However, in her adult years, Ren exhibits a gender non-conforming appearance.
