Hot water returns him to his male form, while cold or room temperature water turns him back into a girl. Our muscular 16-year-old hero/heroine lives for martial arts. He has an inflated and sensitive ego, considering his physical strength to be his greatest asset. Whenever his pride is hurt, Ranma feels compelled to fix the situation, even if it isn't in his best interest.
