A handsome young nobleman of considerable wealth, he is the main opponent in the series. He possesses the ability to see and eliminate demons and leads the government's Demon Extermination Squad. His goal is to persuade Kantarou to cancel the name contract with Haruka, thereby restoring Haruka's memories and transforming him into the "true" demon-eating tengu he desires to defeat. He harbors resentment towards Kantarou for successfully unsealing the demon-eating tengu when he could not achieve the same feat himself. He wields the legendary sword of Minamoto.
His allies include Watanabe and Ibaragi.
