Typically, he appears as a tall man with dark hair and black wings that he can choose to hide or reveal. Haruka struggles with fragmented memories, an inability to consume other youkai, and a diminishing sense of power, which impacts his identity. Under his former master, an onmyodo practitioner, Haruka was known as Rin. His relationship with this previous master was strained, with hints suggesting she exploited his subservient position for her own sexual gratification.
