petronella

Petronella is a formidable sorceress with ambitions to become queen. She successfully persuades the king to disinherit Prince Ludwig from the line of succession, favoring her own son, Julius, instead.

It comes to light that Petronella was once the mistress of a king from another realm but was eventually cast aside in favor of the queen. In a vengeful act, she murdered both the king and the queen. Shortly thereafter, while wandering in the forest, she stumbled upon their young son, Julius. Taking pity on him, she adopted him and trained him in the arcane arts.
