orgodemir

Although Orgodemir himself does not make an appearance until late in the story, his influence is felt across the various worlds the party visits. At Ballymolloy, the warrior Maeve is transformed into a monster by a mysterious evil voice. The Tinpot Dictator invades Faraday with an army of Automatons on the Demon King's orders, aided by the Slaughtomaton. At Alltrades Abbey, Cardinal Sin and his monsters devise a plan to strengthen the Demon King using abilities stolen from adventurers changing their vocations there. In Al-Balad, Setesh the Punisher leads a group of monsters forcing people to build a monument in the Demon King's likeness. The kingdom of Buccanham poses the only serious threat to the Demon King's reign. Captain Sharkeye and his band of pirates aboard the Sea Dragon challenge the Demon King's forces. However, their victories are short-lived as Orgodemir encases the ship and its crew in ice, halting their heroics. The Demon King then curses Buccanham, transforming newborns into monsters on the first night after a full moon. The Hero and his party travel to the past through the Excavated Cave. After placing Mysterious Fragments into the pedestal, they are transported to the Malign Shrine. They witness the Almighty sealing Sir Mervyn in the Sizzling Stone and His defeat by the Demon King. After traversing the stronghold, they encounter the Demon King. Orgodemir taunts them, saying they are foolish to risk their lives for the Almighty. He allows them to leave, but if refused, Orgodemir will fight the party. Upon defeating Orgodemir, he claims that while they defeated his body, his soul will never die. With that, he disappears, ending Disc 1. In Disc 2, the party reunites with the Roamers for a ceremony to revive God. Aishe dances in the Vestment of Virtue and Crispin plays the Torban of Truth, reviving the Almighty. Unbeknownst to the party, this is Orgodemir in disguise. As the Almighty, Orgodemir thanks them for reviving him and promises peace to all worlds. Months later, disguised as the Almighty, Orgodemir has the populace build him a palace called the Cathedral of Light. Sir Mervyn works with him on security. After its completion, he invites representatives from all nations, declaring that evil is defeated and instructing them to dispose of weapons and not harm any being. He asks the Hero for the Dark Ruby, claiming it is evil. After receiving it, he disappears. As the party leaves, they see Mervyn being chased by soldiers for treason against the Almighty. As the party returns to Estard, the land is sealed in darkness by Orgodemir. Mervyn communicates via Mindspeak that the Almighty sealed worlds deemed evil. When Mervyn questioned this, he was labeled a traitor. He learned about the four Elemental Spirits who can shed light on the Almighty's actions. Awakening the Fire Spirit frees the Sea Dragon and its crew, allowing Sharkeye and his pirates to assist the party. Finding all the Elemental Spirits, the party goes to the Cathedral of Light, revealing the Almighty as the Demon King. This overtaxes the Spirits, unable to defeat Orgodemir. Revealing his true form, Orgodemir transforms the Cathedral of Light into the Cathedral of Blight, the final dungeon. The party confronts the Demon King at its depths. He declares himself the new Almighty and that they cannot defeat him due to their ephemeral nature. The party challenges Orgodemir. Upon victory, Orgodemir wonders why he was defeated and speculates the party might be the Almighty. Orgodemir's final defeat brings peace to the world.
