Like a ronin warrior from the Edo period of Japan, Nobunaga wields a long Japanese sword with remarkable finesse and skill. His specialty lies in his unparalleled use of the sword to execute enemies. Franklin has dubbed him the "King of Carelessness." His best friend is Ubogin, and together they bring out the best in each other during combat. Seeing some of Ubogin's traits in Gon, Nobunaga expressed interest in having Gon join the Ryodan, though Gon firmly refused. Nobunaga is one of the members of the Genei Ryodan who originated from Ryūseigai.
Nobunaga's En enhances his swordfighting skills by creating a circular boundary that can detect even the slightest movements of his opponents. Once an opponent steps into this boundary, an immediate retaliation from Nobunaga can be expected.
