Mousse has been a long-time friend of Shampoo, though she doesn't necessarily see it that way. He has harbored feelings of love for her for most of his life, but she finds him more annoying than anything else. His poor eyesight without his glasses often leads to comical misunderstandings, where he mistakes one person or object for another.
He arrives in Nerima to seek out the "new fiancé" that Shampoo has and stays in hopes of winning her heart. Despite being rebuked by Shampoo when they were children—a rejection that remains binding under Amazon law even if he defeats Ranma in combat—Mousse remains persistent in his pursuit.
Currently working as a waiter at the Cat Café, Mousse is cursed to turn into a duck due to his encounter with Jusenkyo springs. In human form, his attire conceals an extensive arsenal, including needles, chains, swords, bombs, household appliances, and almost any other weapon imaginable. Even in duck form, Mousse cleverly hides knives among his feathers.
