Founder of and former CEO of the Amagi Corporation, Mitsugai strongly believed in the separation between the rich and the poor. Driven by his ambition to create flawless artificial humans, he launched the N.E.T. Project. This endeavor, however, resulted in the unintended escape of his creations, known as 'Players'. Feeling deeply responsible for this mishap, Mitsugai initiated Project Z.E.T. in an attempt to rectify the situation. Yet again, his plans crumbled due to Kanzaki's betrayal. Following these setbacks, Mitsugai became intensely focused on reclaiming ZET, after multiple failed attempts to recreate it. Mitsugai's approach was typically stringent, but after his laboratory was destroyed for a second time by Players, he appeared to mellow. He offered Jin the choice to either become ZET or live as a regular human. However, it remains unclear whether this softer stance is genuine or merely a facade. (source: Wikipedia)
