Age: 14 Birthdate: July 10 Mion is the oldest student in Keiichi's class. As an elder figure, she serves as the class president and is regarded by her peers as a leader. Her social skills match those of Keiichi, whom she admires as both a friend and a rival (though it is later revealed that she has a crush on him). She behaves like a tomboy and humorously refers to herself as "oji-san" (meaning old man), but she has a hidden girlish side. Mion is set to become the head of the Sonozaki household, one of the Three Families with significant influence in Hinamizawa. She is often seen carrying a holstered airsoft gun, although she is never shown using it; this element was removed in the PS2 adaptation of the game. However, she is very skilled in martial arts. Mion also leads an after-school club comprised of the main characters. She organizes various strategy-based games for the members, complete with penalties for the losers. These penalties usually involve wearing embarrassing or frilly outfits on the way home. Each game she arranges involves bending the rules or employing questionable and crude tactics to win, such as using a marked deck of cards or leveraging feminine charm to throw off opponents. Notably, Mion is the only character who has not been driven to extreme paranoia (on screen) that causes the others to commit murder in the question arcs and the first two answer arcs.
