the hornfreak midvalley

Midvalley the Hornfreak is a brutal musician whose saxophone, named Sylvia, can harmonize sound waves with pain, resulting in physical harm. He also has the ability to neutralize sounds by playing counter-frequencies. Initially, he and his band perform assassinations for financial gain until they are discovered by Knives, who eliminates all of them except Midvalley. Holding disdain for both Legato and Knives, Midvalley attempts to assassinate Legato but meets a swift demise himself. Legato manipulates Midvalley's corpse to assault Hoppered, after which it is interred with his saxophone placed upon his gravestone. In the anime adaptation, Midvalley assumes a lesser role, primarily functioning as Legato's bodyguard until confronting Vash, ultimately taking his own life by overloading his saxophone.
